Bloody hell. We thought we were upset when England capitulated so spectacularly to India in the first test, but not to the point where we would allow anyone we know to cut our hair.

That’s tantamount to self-harming.

Ashley Cole: Submersible Stealth Mission

It took a while, but eventually the FA authorities found somewhere to put Ashley Cole to prevent him from tweeting his opinion when meeting the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge.

If only they’d thought to check he was wearing swimming trunks before the Duchess began her approach.

Andy Carroll: Supping In The Last Chance Saloon

On Sunday night, it was reported that Liverpool had rejected a proposed loan deal from Andy Carroll’s former club Newcastle United. Carroll, who is 23, has failed to live up to the promise that persuaded Liverpool to make a last minute £35m bid for him in the January 2011 transfer window, and in recent months, the club have made no secret of the fact that they would be happy to off-load the striker.
