Modern sport lends itself to comedic interpretation. Whether we’re talking about the nefarious exploits of the movers and shakers, the moral incompetence of athletes or self serving interpretations of the above by a cossetted ‘mainstream’ press pack, the possibilities for piss taking are endless.
Some might call it a coping mechanism.
Any sport is fair game, although the writers concede that a heavy emphasis on football is inevitable, given the amount of time spent watching it for the work that does pay. The sporadic nature of the posts, to this point at least, can and will also be blamed on work.
